Mick graduated from University with a Master’s degree in Management Studies, focusing on the behavioural aspects of the management function. Mick then joined the Beecham Group in their Personnel function at their manufacturing operation in the Manchester area. Developing his skills as a generalist, Mick was promoted to the Head of Department and remained in post for a further four years.

Mick then moved into the independent training sector, allocating his time between lecturing in I.R. and Management, and working with an international, educational charity.

In the early 1990s, Mick began working with Cygnet Business Development and later he co-lead and co-developed Cygnet in the London region. This developed into an independent management consultancy, Oxberry Consulting, which forged an enviable and strong reputation in the health sector, as well as working at a senior level with commercial organisations.

Mick has an MSc in Coaching and Mentoring from Sheffield Business School and Mick’s coaching expertise is recognised under the EMCC classification as a Senior Practitioner.
